This Engagement Board was created by Trenton Stevens for his ULife Class. He hopes you enjoy it.
One of the first things I did with friends was to go to one of the (women's) soccer games! I spent some time getting to know the people around me. I also learned the rules to soccer. Something I took away from this was teamwork. None of the players were able to score by themselves! That ball was passed around a lot.
For my Academic Resources requirement, I ended up at Donuts with the Deans. This wasn't the most planned thing I've ever done. I kind of got roped in during a break in my Honors Colloquium. The Deans are so knowledgeable and made me feel so welcome, even though I'd already been at Seton Hall for a couple of months.
To fulfill my Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion requirement, I decided to go to Slavic Club. I'm not Slavic, nor am I taking Russian. So, it was a bit indimidating. But, I have had a really great time at all of the Slavic Club's events that I have attended; especially when my friends attend as well. My favorite event was when they had Anastasia Shteinert come to give a presentation on the state of journalism in Russia. Her information was incredible because she has worked in Russia, though she currently resides in NYC.
